TOGETHER AGAINST CANCER

My name is Yolot, I'm 16 years old and I'm the daughter of a warrior.

My life took a 180° turn a few months ago when I was studying in Ireland (being the happiest in the world). Easter holidays arrived and I returned home to spend a few days with the family, but the arrival was different, when I saw my mother I felt a strange sensation, something my mother had on her face that conveyed happiness and at the same time sadness when hugging me and it was true!

My mother, thanks to the Iñaki Nogueroles Foundation, Young People Against Cancer and Alicia the psychologist, was able to tell me with complete normality that she had breast cancer but conveyed serenity to me since the prognosis was good.

Alicia has helped her emotionally manage her illness and understand that it is a long, difficult and hard battle but possible. My mother has conveyed strength, courage and positivity to me in the face of problems and adversities. As of today she is in radiation treatment, but her eyes already shine because there's very little left to finish this process. For her and for what she's teaching me, I've tattooed the pink ribbon with the word "MOM" on my leg.
